The journey of Bioink – from scans to surgical innovation
Bioink was born out of a deep belief that precision saves lives. Our founder, a biomedical engineer with experience in radiology and 3D printing, saw a huge gap between imaging and real-world surgical insight. What began as a side project has now become a mission to make patient-specific anatomy accessible to every surgical team.
To revolutionize surgical planning through accessible, patient-specific 3D models that improve outcomes and enhance learning.
Every surgeon and student worldwide equipped with hyper-realistic anatomical replicas before every procedure or lecture.
Initial prototype built using a converted FDM printer and hospital-supplied scans.
Started collaborations with surgeons at Al-Amiri Hospital and medical educators in Kuwait University.
First large-scale print batch delivered to support pediatric heart surgeries.
Received recognition in AlQabas and Al-Rai. Introduced flexible resin models and a custom design dashboard.
Launched e-commerce platform and expanded to educational and research clients across the GCC.
